This past Friday was the United States’ Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July. It is a federal holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. The term Independence Day was, first, used in 1791. It is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, picnics, baseball games, and various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States, but is often also viewed as simply a Summer festival, apart from its patriotic overtones.

Here’s my thought; why did the Host not only double dip AND perform a musical number .. but he did two songs while the musical Guest, Foo Fighters only did one song. The Foos are relevant while Bon Jovi has a freaking mullet. Give. Me. A Break !
Over this past week, the Washington baseball team won only 1 of 7 games.
The Nationals, now, comes Home to play 3 games vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks and 3 more against the Houston Astros before next Tuesday’s All-Star game.
The Nationals, now, have an unprecedented 13 players on the Diabled List .. and two more players were injured, this weekend.
The Washington Bullets signed 2 of their best 3 players to contracts, this past week. First, Antwan Jamison signed a 4 year / 50 million dollar extension .. then, Gilbert Arenas (Agent Zero) struck Gold by agreeing to accept 111 million dollars over a 6 year period.
Singer, Guitarist - Adrienne Zolondick played another spirited solo gig Saturday night at Parrotdise, on Ramrod Key, Florida.
Meet The Press did not air a program, this Sunday, due to NBCs coverage of Wimbledon’s Tennis Championships. Tennis sucks !
Joe Gibbs Racing’s Kyle Busch won NASCAR’s wreck filled Sprint Cup / Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona, Florida on Saturday night.
Carl Edwards finished 2nd and Matt Kenseth finished 3rd.
Tony Stewart got sick during the race and was replaced in the # 20 car by J.J. Yeley who competed the final portion of the race and finished 20th. Denny Hamlin finished 26th.
Next Saturday finds NASCAR at Chicagoland Speedway in the LifeLock.com Sprint Cup Series 400 on July 12th in Joliet, Illinois.
This week’s History Channel Season 2 - episode 5 of Ice Road Truckers in titled ‘Lost On The Ice’. Veteran driver, Alex misses the right turn to Aput and drives more than 40 miles in the wrong direction.
Today in Key West, the high air temperature is predicted to be 88 degrees with a Relative Humidity of only 68 %. Clear and sunny all day.
