Dear Blog

I, oft-times, peruse a Fantasy Football message board whereby I can read the thoughts of the individuals across the Planet on Fantasy Football.
There is, also, a sub-board where these same people can discuss off topic views.
Obviously, politics is one of these topics. And over the past year or two, there have been many heated discussions. All in fair play.
But since the recent Presidential Election – the neocons from the loser party are not going away nor are they admitting defeat. From November 5th on, they have been pounding President Elect Barack Obama on ‘where’s the change?’. And every Cabinet appointment he makes, they scream ‘where’s the change?’.
Well, just about the best political cartoon that I’ve ever read recently came from the ultra-conservative newspaper; the Washington Times .. and it’s the one at the top of today’s Blog entry.
Funny, huh ?

America Has Talent’s very bright Star this past Season was 4 year old Kaitlyn Mahre from Ashburn, Virginia.
As a gentleman who raised his now 23 year old daughter by himself .. and continues to reside in the same dwelling with her – her and I enjoyed Kaitlyn’s performances very much. Kaitlyn did not win the contest but I think everyone knew she would surface somewhere in the near future. And she has .. in the new Harris – Teeter commercial airing in the Washington market, currently.

NFL:
The Washington Redskins .. beat by the Seattle Seahawks yesterday afternoon, 20-17.
I was so afraid Defensive Coordinator, Greg Blache was going to allow Seahawks’ Quarterback Matt Hasslebeck to set back in the pocket and pick apart our Defense without applying any pressure.
I know I screamed for him to blitz loud enough for him to have heard me all the way out to the West Coast. And finally, he did in certain situations causing Hasslebeck to throw several errant passes; one of which Shawn Springs picked off to win the game.
Whewww !

NHL:
The Washington Capitals have a record of 11 – 6 – 3 .. and, still, in 1st place in the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League.

NBA:
The sorry-ass Washington Bullets have a record of 1 – 10 and are in last place in the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Basketball Association.

Rascal is, still, doing well on her Rimadyl medication. She’s 8 years old.
Stimey, the cat, is 10 years old, now, and can still jump the 5’ high fence surrounding the property.

Today in Key West, the high air temperature is predicted to be 74 degrees with a overnight low of 67 degrees.
Today’s LoCo weather forecast calls for air temperatures of 47 degrees and with an overnight low of 36 degrees.
