So, I’m watching PBS Soundstage. PBS has some pretty good music.
And it’s the reincarnation of Credence Clearwater Revival packaged under the Draw, John Fogerty.

The Band is rocking .. when it hits me – this John Fogerty is a pretty good Guitar Player. Seriously, Folks ! Dude hot ! ‘kay ?

So I decide to see how hot he be; I went to the Rolling Stone Magazine’s Top 100 Guitar Players. I may disagree a bit, here and there, but overall – I’ll take their view in account.

The Top 5 are all number 1’s but the RSM says it’s Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Duane Allman, BB King, & Robert Johnson.

After that you still got some really good ones what with Jimmy Page, Carlos Santana, Keith Richards, Jeff Beck & Jerry Garcia. Of course, there’s the obligatory picks, Stephen Stills and George Harrison before you come to John Fogerty at # 40. That’s 40 pretty fine Guitar Players.

Peter Townshend, Neil Young, Les Paul, Ritchie Blackmore & Leo Kotke fill out through 101.
