5500 Years From Home

In addition to the 250 plus Lyrical Pieces that I have written and received Copyright Protection from the Library Of Congress - I have, also, written a Novel (copyrighted but not Published) entitled 5500 Years From Home. I am currently working on a 2nd Book entitled The Island that I am about 1/2 the way towards completion, .. but have suspended at this time.

I have decided to, occasionally, post excerpts from
5500 Years From Home in this Blog space.
Today, we peruse the 1st page of Chapter 20 – Page 152.

5500 Years From Home
.
Thom picked up the phone and called into his Job at AP Publishing. He explained that he had been abducted and indicated that he had a Publication Piece about it that he would submit as soon as he completed it. Then he hung up. After that he logged on to his PC and set it up to write a SciFi Novel about his excursion.
.
When Audrey returned from taking the children to School, Thom explained to her that he was going to write a Sci-Fi Novel based on what he had gone trough over the last 2 weeks. Audrey agreed that she would wait to read his completed work. Both agreed that Audrey would have all the time that she needed to grieve for her mother.
.
And so Thom began writing his adventure in the 3rd person:
.
He introduced the reading audience to his co protagonist as Fanny.
.
--> Larry was Christmas shopping for his daughter, Lynnda. She wanted a Space Station Doll House of the future but it was such a popular item in 2009, Larry was finding it quite difficult to locate. Finally, he did find it and after purchasing it, he was driving to his home in the Shenandoah Valley of the Blue Ridge Mountain range.
.
About 5 minutes from his Riverside suburban home, a bright light in the sky flashed over his head and disappeared into the nearby countryside. The proximity of the unidentified bright light caused the electrical components in his pick-up to cut out, stalling the vehicle.
.
It took nearly 10 minutes for Larry to be able to restart his engine. Once that he did, he drove the last few miles home. As he pulled into his driveway, he noticed his father, Dhann walking outside the back of the house. Larry’s father and mother, Olivia were visiting Larry and his wife, Fannie and Lynnda for Christmas. Fanny, Olivia and Lynnda were still at the Christmas Eve Services at Church in town.
.
Larry had planned to hide the huge Space Station Doll House box in the Gardner’s building that was located between their house and the River. He asked his father for help. Dhann’s face was colorless.

… And so Thom began writing his adventure in the 3rd person: ..
