5500 Years From Home
.

As the family enjoyed Christmas Day, there was an uneasiness hanging over the object in their back yard. After Dinner but before complete darkness had arrived, some Radio personnel had descended upon the Curtis’ property. Fanny, nervously, went outside to confront them. She acted as normally as she could concerning the situation. She told them that her family had seen the bright flash of light pass over their property, the night before and that she thinks it may have been an asteroid or comet that burned up before it could hit the ground. She was asked about the canvas behind the Gardner’s Building and she replied that her husband was growing some tomato plants and covered them from the cold weather. That seemed to placate the snooping reporters and they moved on to the next property down the hill from the Curtis’.
.
When the Radio people had left the area and it became dark, Fanny returned to the Craft. She bent down to her knees and, again, began corresponding with the FCO. After Lynnda had been put to bed, Larry and Dhann joined Fanny out by the Craft. Fanny explained to them that the FCO could use it’s mental telepathy and levitate the Craft towards the Gardner’s Building. Larry and Dhann were still skeptical but after seeing the Craft move, they started to have more trust in Fanny’s descriptions. But the Craft moved only a few feet and then stopped. Fanny told the men that the FCO was not as mentally strong as she needed to be and needed some help. She added that she was going to enter the Craft and use her mental capacities to assist the FCO. Larry was against that and besides, there was no door opening and nobody had seen this creature.
.
Within an instant, a hatch did indeed open. Fanny asked Dhann to open the Gardner’s Building’s garage type door and for Larry to physically guide the Craft as it hovered, into the Gardner’s Building.
.
Fanny climbed into the Craft with the FCO and the hatch closed.

… Larry and Dhann were still skeptical ..
