I am currently working on a 2nd Book entitled The Island that I am about 1/2 the way towards completion, .. but have suspended at this time.

I have decided to, occasionally, post excerpts from

chapter Twenty … page 159

5500 Years From Home
.

This time stop finds the ladies witnessing another sailing vessel in the Ocean only this time, their ship has anchored in a harbor. A scouting party appears to have reached shore in several side boats. Again, it appears to be primitive Native Americans welcoming Old World Explorers. The sound production tells of a friendship between the two Worlds. Another feast has been laid about and a prayer of a giving of thanks echoes in the forest. The ladies of the Craft are torn between this being Jamestown, Virginia in 1607 or possibly Plymouth, Massachusetts. The FCO determines that’s it’s too unsafe for an up close and personal exploration by either of them. And so they continue to observe the friendly gathering.
.
The location of the Craft is in a thicket that has a plethora of wildlife passing by. After a period of time, there appears to be a hunt taking place with deer escaping the slings and arrows of the hunting party. Soon, a deer has been wounded and leaps into the thicket to lie down and try to recover. But the hunting party is closely following the tracks towards the thicket. Once again, the FCO decides that it’s time to depart in a hurried manner and into the void goes the Craft in a haphazard fashion until it’s gone.
.
As the stepping stone jumps continue, they seem to be heading towards a more comforting time nearer to the time and place they left when Fanny was affected by the accidental tug of the fabric of time.
.
Additionally, the Craft has cleared it’s bounds and connects with a gravitational pull, hauling it into a phase that imitates a more modern time. The Craft cannot completely cloak it’s view but few of the humanity spies it’s awkward zone. It has injected itself into an unused cubby space. The men that are throughout are dressed peculiarly, once more. And the hairpieces worn give clue to the timeframe. Fanny can clearly make out the presence of one Mr. Benjamin Franklin, inventor and discoverer extraordinaire.

… the Craft has cleared it’s bounds ..
