5500 Years From Home

In addition to the 250 plus Lyrical Pieces that I have written and received Copyright Protection from the Library Of Congress - I have, also, written a Novel (copyrighted but not Published) entitled 5500 Years From Home. I am currently working on a 2nd Book entitled The Island that I am about 1/2 the way towards completion, at this date. I have decided to, occasionally, post excerpts from 5500 Years From Home in this Blog space.
Today, we peruse the Chapter 1 – People’s Church HYMN.
Enjoy !

5500 YEARS FROM HOME

People’s Church HYMN

Chapter 1 … Coventry … partial pages 2 & 3

After the sun had disappeared over his shoulder
And the cooling of the soil bathed his sore tired feet
He stopped to rest, his journey had not ended
After four moons had passed over the darkness
Exhausted by his travels, still his soul and mind felt good
He saw creation's hand around the fruit he was about to taste
And it was good, as he felt peace he knew he was
In perfect harmony, he knew he was ...

Just a part of the plan to understand all God's work
We're all a part of the plan that's man doing God's work
This is all a grand plan, planned grandly we're a part of His work

Whereupon darkness soon covered the land smothered in silence
As a warming fire sparkled upon the surrounding land
The weary traveler sleeps, he will travel all day
Until two more moons pass to reach his destination
He is the traveler and he is good doing his work
And as he lays in the angelic softness of a grassy meadow
He slumbers and all is still good all is peaceful
And he knew it was in perfect harmony and he knew he was ...

Just a part of the plan to understand all God's work
We're all a part of the plan that's man doing God's work
This is all a grand plan, planned grandly we're a part of His work

And as the sun peeks over the eastern horizon
The traveler has moved on without leaving a scar upon the land
He will come upon a wide waterway and climb many hills
Before eating berries God has grown for him
Because God is good
God is love
God loves all; the traveler loves God
And he travels God's land
God's land is good it's sustainable
And is used as such in perfect harmony and it is ...

Just a part of the plan to understand all God's work
We're all a part of the plan that's man doing God's work
This is all a grand plan, planned grandly we're a part of His work
