chapter Five ... page 36

The Future

By the year 2709 the Moon has close to 10,000 people stationed there. The vast majority were Scientists and Government workers from most of the major Countries.
Time travel is stumbled upon in 3709 although not perfected to within 99.8 percent until 4509.
.
In 4400 there were 15 billion inhabitants on Earth but that number was held down by the fact that during the early 3000 years, the virus inoculation procedure that was mandated in 2471 carried an option to be able to procreate only when certain criteria were met including the ability to care for the offspring. And even then most could not and those who could were allotted just one additional life per couple.

The Moon Years

In 4416, an asteroid crashed into southern Mexico that carried a deadly microbial bacteria. Within 45 days over 15 million people were dead all across the Globe. It was obvious that everyone on Earth who came into contact with the bug would die. All would die within 6 months, regardless, due to the impossibility of eradicating the deadly strain. At that time, there were 150,000 people residing on the Moon with another 50,000 shuttling to and from in a 6 month program. The maximum number of inhabitants that the Moon’s infrastructure could sustain life for, for an extended period of time was 300,000.

The Governments of Earth were brought together and a finite number of the best and brightest humans were joined in a program to rocket off to the Moon. By the time that most of the Earth’s inhabitants were aware of this – it was a done deal. Life gradually started to disappear on Earth. All Monkeys, Apes, Orangutans and even most of the other animals were not spared. By 4417, Earth had very little life left. There were more than 300,000 people on the Moon due to renegade activity but many of them perished, as well.

… All would die within 6 months ..
