5500 Years From Home
In addition to the 250 plus Lyrical Pieces that I have written and received Copyright Protection from the Library Of Congress - I have, also, written a Novel (copyrighted but not Published) entitled 5500 Years From Home. I am currently working on a 2nd Book entitled The Island that I am about 1/2 the way towards completion, .. but have suspended at this time.

And once again, the Orb was drifting in time. Thom was coherent and trying desperately not to conjure up any thoughts that would guide the ship. Each time the EOB was forced to facilitate an emergency departure, his mental strength was losing stored vitality.

Still, the EOB would not deny Thom the ability to exit the Orb in any of it’s arrival locations. It would be inhumane to incarcerate Thom in such a small compartment while the EOB extracted energy from the newer and ever-changing atmosphere. While aboard the craft, it is indiscernible whether time is moving backwards, forwards or just remaining current. Regardless, the EOB falls into a coma like trance and it’s impossible for Thom not to meditate unconsciously, as well.

Thom, on the other hand, has uncontrollable mental cognizance while in slumber. His faculties display subliminal visions of past experiences. For instance, there was the trip to St. Louis in September 1998 where he and his co-workers from AP Publications witnessed Mark McGwire’s then record breaking 62nd Major League Baseball’s Home Run. Also, passing through Thom’s memory was his overnight stay in Brighton, Massachusetts while attending the Wedding of Audrey’s younger sister in 2003.

And as previously experienced, an inaudible quiet resumed. An eerily hush alerted both that there was no more movement to be expected. All that was left was for the location to be ascertained. Since the EOB was not at full mental capacity, his sensory perception did not provide that redress. It would be, once again, up to Thom to explore and provide that information. The visual was of a warehouse enclosure.
