5500 Years From Home

In addition to the 250 plus Lyrical Pieces that I have written and received Copyright Protection from the Library Of Congress - I have, also, written a Novel (copyrighted but not Published) entitled 5500 Years From Home. I am currently working on a 2nd Book entitled The Island that I am about 1/2 the way towards completion, .. but have suspended at this time.
.
I have decided to, occasionally, post excerpts from
5500 Years From Home in this Blog space.
Today, we peruse the 1st page of Chapter 13 – Page 114.

The Orb had begun smoother maneuvers in exiting places and time. It seemed as though the EOB was regaining enough mental energy to placate the atmospheric conditions that arose from the destabilization forces attached to molecular displacement. The aura of comatose inevitability was, also, shrinking it’s attachment to the wanderers. Thom barely lost consciousness at all before the subsequent deplaning and landing in this new geographical and historical location. The whirring had become a whisper and the vibration was no more than that of a residential refrigerator’s compressor phasing in.
.
The two Orb occupants did not anticipate a large jump in the time continuum due to the ease of this most recent Jump. The craft had become stationary and the visualization viewpoint was similar to the most recent one of 1620 Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Although the Orb’s instrumentation panel was not readable to Thom, he could at least see a decipherable code appearance becoming visible.
.
The time had come for Thom to disembark the Orb’s boundary and reenter the Earth’s timeless position point. Once outside, Thom could smell that fresh aroma of the past. Before the pollutants of his time had strangled the health and well being of the populous. The craft had, once again, found a location that was neither totally camouflaged nor sitting out in the open. It was almost as if that type of easement was predestined into the Orb’s makeup.
.
Thom could see for a great distance in several directions giving the allusion of, once again, being upon a hilltop, possibly even that of a mountain peak. There was nothing else visible to Thom’s eyesight, certainly nothing to give clue to any geographical placement or time range. There was no indication of a route to choose from in which he could locate a vantage point of his whereabouts. His only reasonable choice was to look for a descent passage without obstruction.
